Apply for Summer Universities until 7 May 2009

Good news for everybody, who still has not applied for a Summer University: The deadline has been extended to 7 May.

This means that you can still join AEGEE-Helsinki and send your application. There are almost 90 events where to choose from, so you have a good chance to pick one, that suits your summer schedule.

Network Meeting in Malta

The network meeting took place in the beautiful island of Malta. When we arrived people from AEGEE-Valletta picked us up from the airport. We stayed at three star Hotel Alexandra in the city of St. Julians. There were around 35 participants all over the Europe. Everything during the event was very well organised and all the organisers were very warm and friendly.

Malta is a really beautiful country with its light yellow buildings and clear blue water.

European Boards' Meeting Torino (2009)

European Boards’ Meeting (EBM) is a gathering of ‘serious’ AEGEE members, heavily concentrating on current AEGEE projects and set of workshops.

AEGEE life is full of interesting projects nowadays. The Yearplan project, has really cool team. They have presented its new mascot during EBM, SuFu panda and next event dedicated to the Environment in Scandinavia will happen in Copenhagen in march. Pretty much every month there is Y Vote conference happening anywhere throughout Europe (Vienna, Groningen, Poznan, Roma, now in Munchen, soon in Budapest..). It is dedicated to upcoming June elections for Europarliament. YOUrope needs YOU is one more project to mention..

Reminder: membership fee for 2009

Are you planning to join AEGEE activities in 2009? Now it's time to renew your membership for the current year! By paying the fee of 20 euros, you can apply to any AEGEE events around Europe.

There are only two steps:

Fill in the member form and choose "Renew membership" if you have already been a member
Pay 20 euros to AEGEE-Helsinki as instructed on the page

The events are waiting for you!

As usually, everyone is welcome to join our local activites regardless of membership!

Exchange with AEGEE-Moscow

Are you interested in a week in Moscow getting to know the local business and cultural life?

AEGEE-Helsinki organizes an exchange in the spring together with AEGEE-Moscow. The topic is business relations and cultural differences between Finland and Russia. The program in Moscow consists of visits to business institutions, workshops about Russian business life and seminars about cultural and business differences between Finland and Russia, as well as a visit to the State University - Higher School of Economics, which acts also as a partner for the exchange. Not forgetting the social program with local students and sight seeing!
