This spring the Network meeting for Nordic antennas took place in Tallinn 29.03.2012 – 01.04.2012. As many of our members had just visited Tallinn I was the only official participant from Helsinki to participate in the event. Our secretary Lotta Heikkilä joined for the last days.

You can take part in AEGEE Summer Universities as a participant and/or as an organiser (see the bottom of this article for more). Participating as an organiser is a very good alternative, too! It provides you a great opportunity to learn about managing projects, practice your English efficiently, travel inexpensive and above all, meet new people!

On the 12th of December it was time for some Christmas fun at KY, Iso Puoli. Hot glögi and a live band made sure the spirits stayed up all the way till the end. Also our lovely neighbour of the south, AEGEE-Tallinn, visited the party! Click here for some pictures of our Christmas Party.
Report: Agora Skopje 27.-30.10.2011

This autumn the Agora took place in Struga, Macedonia. Struga is a small town and tourist destination on the shore of lake Ohrid. Our Balkan adventures started from Belgrade, Serbia, where all three of us (Julia, Leena and Saara) participated in a pre-event before the Agora. We spent three days exploring Belgrade's beautiful versatility and experienced a lot while enjoying the event.
From Belgrade we hopped on a double-decker bus heading for Macedonia. There were two buses with around 150 Aegeeans ...

AEGEE-Helsinki wants to invite you to its Local Training Course held in Arkkitehtimaja, Sipoo between the 11th and 13th of November. The weekend long program will include workshops on event organizing and fundraising, and of course various social activities! And what's more, the participation is free for all the members of AEGEE-Helsinki!

In the last half of July 2011, AEGEE-Helsinki together with AEGEE-St.Petersburg and AEGEE-Tallinn organized the AEGEE Travelling Summer University Discover Your True Colours. This project had been in the planning since autumn 2010 and on 18 July the long-awaited event finally started with 25 participants from all over Europe gathering in summery St.Petersburg. Some brave Finnish organizers also dared to go to St.Petersburg, thus spending the whole duration of the event with the participants. This would mean two weeks of intense socializing and partying.

In the end of April, Agora Alicante was a perfect opportunity to escape the rainy and cold weather to the Southern Spain. Agora gathered together 700 participants from 200 cities of 40 European countries to one of the most important events in AEGEE. Because of the Vappu celebrations there was no big group of participants from Finland, but happily the only Finnish delegate ran into many old friends from different AEGEE antennas as soon as she arrived at the campus area.
