You can take part in AEGEE Summer Universities as a participant and/or as an organiser (see the bottom of this article for more). Participating as an organiser is a very good alternative, too! It provides you a great opportunity to learn about managing projects, practice your English efficiently, travel inexpensive and above all, meet new people!

The autumn Agora 2012 took place from the 31st of October till the 4th of November in Budapest, Hungary. The event was exceptional for two reasons. First of all it had record amount of applicants – thus unfortunately almost half of the applications had to be rejected. Secondly Aegee-Budapest, being one of the biggest antennas in Aegee-network with a long history, much experience and vast number of members, organised Agora for the second time.

AEGEE-Helsinki will elect its new board for the season 2013-2014 on the 13th of December. The meeting is held at Gustavus Rex at Domus Gaudium, Leppäsuonkatu 11 beginning at 18:00. Everyone interested is warmly welcomed to join the meeting!

The Spring Agora 2012 was held this time from first until 6th of May in Enschede. Enschede is a small student city in the eastern part of the Netherlands near theGerman border. All of together 330 delegates, visitor and envoys were participating in this annual meeting of AEGEE-Europe. There are two Agoras every year. The Spring Agora is the most important meeting of the year as the new Comite Directeur (CD) is chosen there. Comite Directeur is the board of whole AEGEE-Europe which takes care of the network for one year in Brussels. Lots of other decisions take a place in AGORA as well. For example, AEGEE-Helsinki got a new netcommie Karolina Mazetyte, the contact person for the European level.

This year European Boards Meeting (EBM) was held in Izmir 9th to 12th of February. Izmir is a coastal city in Turkey known as holiday paradise in the summer. This time we visited Izmir the coldest time of the year so unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the beach. Actually there was even snow in Istanbul! Even though we couldn't go to the beach we experienced a lot. The city is really beautiful even in the winter and we had the change to see the true Turkish hospitality and all the main points of interest. The mixture of European and Asian cultures was truly visible everywhere we went.

This autumn the Agora took place in Struga, Macedonia. Struga is a small town and tourist destination on the shore of lake Ohrid. Our Balkan adventures started from Belgrade, Serbia, where all three of us (Julia, Leena and Saara) participated in a pre-event before the Agora. We spent three days exploring Belgrade's beautiful versatility and experienced a lot while enjoying the event.
From Belgrade we hopped on a double-decker bus heading for Macedonia. There were two buses with around 150 Aegeeans ...

AEGEE-Helsinki wants to invite you to its Local Training Course held in Arkkitehtimaja, Sipoo between the 11th and 13th of November. The weekend long program will include workshops on event organizing and fundraising, and of course various social activities! And what's more, the participation is free for all the members of AEGEE-Helsinki!

In the last half of July 2011, AEGEE-Helsinki together with AEGEE-St.Petersburg and AEGEE-Tallinn organized the AEGEE Travelling Summer University Discover Your True Colours. This project had been in the planning since autumn 2010 and on 18 July the long-awaited event finally started with 25 participants from all over Europe gathering in summery St.Petersburg. Some brave Finnish organizers also dared to go to St.Petersburg, thus spending the whole duration of the event with the participants. This would mean two weeks of intense socializing and partying.
